Vicky's Bio

I was born in Lawrenceburg, TN as Vicky Addington but soon moved to Toledo, Ohio. My mother and father were from Tennessee and missed the South and our extended family so we moved back when I was 10 years old. I went to Una Elementary, Apollo Junior High, Antioch and McGavock High Schools. I attended Nursing School at the University of Tennessee at Nashville and graduated as a Registered Nurse. I've worked at General Hospital in labor and delivery and every floor at Vanderbilt Hospital. My favorite area of nursing practice has been Geriatrics and I have been doing that since 1982 – working as a Home Health and Long Term Care nurse.

I have lived in District 29 most of my life and really love the area. I am married to my high school sweetheart. I have 2 sons and a daughter who are grown up and living successful lives.

I became interested in politics in college as a member of the Student Government Association and the Student Nurses Association. I have served on the board of my church as president and worked on various church committees, most recently projecting a long term plan for the congregation. I became President of the Edge-O-Lake Neighbors Association in 2006. Working with the Edge-O-Lake Neighbors I have set up a Neighborhood Crime Watch, a Notice Program under the Codes Department and negotiated for the first monopine cell tower in Davidson
